Movers and storage

Movers are lifting, driving and wrapping when customers call, and a family planning a move usually phones the next company on the list. The assistant answers while your crews are on a job, takes the home size, the two areas and the date, and passes damage claims and moving-day trouble to a person.

What it handles

  • Move requests with the home type, the two areas, the preferred date and extras like packing or storage
  • Opening hours, location, payment methods and the approved lorry, packing, storage and surcharge prices
  • Quote questions: what the team needs (addresses, floors, lifts, photos) and when a site survey helps
  • Condo move-in questions, cancellations and date changes noted for the team to follow up

When it hands over to a person

  • Damaged or missing items, or a crew that has not arrived on moving day (injury: call 995 first)
  • A final quote for a condo, landed home, piano or safe, or a request to match another mover's price
  • A refund or compensation request, an insurance question, or a caller who asks for the manager

What it never does

  • Promises a final price, a move date or an arrival time before the team confirms it
  • Says what a damage claim will pay, or advises on insurance, condo rules or tenancy
  • Asks for NRIC numbers or card details by voice

Questions it answers

From your own FAQ, nothing made up

What are your opening hours?

Our office is open Monday to Saturday, 8 am to 6 pm. We're closed on Sundays and public holidays, but our crews can still move on those days. Would you like me to note a request?

How much does a move cost?

A full HDB move starts from S$450 for a 3-room, S$600 for a 4-room and S$800 for a 5-room. Prices include GST, and the team confirms the final price after hearing the addresses, floors and lifts. Would you like me to note a request?

Can I book a move?

Of course. I can note a move request for the team. Is it an HDB flat, a condo or a landed home, and roughly when are you moving?

Where are you located?

We're based in Ubi, about five minutes' walk from Ubi MRT. Our storage warehouse is there too, and our lorries come to you anywhere in Singapore.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept PayNow or cash, paid when the move is complete and your things are in place. We don't take cards or a deposit. A condo may ask for its own move-in deposit.

What lorry sizes do you have?

We have 10-foot, 14-foot and 24-foot lorries. A 10-foot suits a room or a few items, a 14-foot a 3-room flat, and a 24-foot a 4-room flat or bigger. The first two come with two movers and the 24-foot with three, and an extra mover starts from S$25 an hour.

Do you charge by the hour or a fixed price?

Small moves are charged by the hour, with a minimum of three hours, or four for a 24-foot lorry. Starting prices are S$180 for a 10-foot lorry with two movers, S$240 for a 14-foot and S$420 for a 24-foot with three movers. Full houses get a fixed quote.

What if the move takes longer than quoted?

A fixed quote holds if the items and access are as described. For hourly moves, each extra hour is S$55 for a 10-foot lorry, S$65 for a 14-foot and S$110 for a 24-foot. The crew leader tells you before any extra time begins.

Is there an extra charge for stairs or no lift?

Walk-ups with no lift may add a stair charge, which starts from S$20 a floor above the 2nd floor. A long carry from the lorry to your door can add a charge too. The team puts every charge in your quote before the move.

How much to move a condo or landed home?

A small condo costs the same as a 5-room flat, starting from S$800. Larger condos and landed homes depend on size, floors and furniture, so the team quotes after a site survey or photos.

Do you do office moves?

Yes, we move small and medium offices. The team quotes after a site visit and plans the move with the building management. Weekend and public-holiday moves are possible, with the S$50 surcharge.

What do you need to give me a quote?

The team needs both addresses, the floor and whether there's a lift at each end, your date, and a list or photos of what's moving. Some older HDB lifts stop only on certain floors. Quotes are free, and 5-room flats, condos and landed homes also get a free site survey.

Do you provide boxes or a packing service?

Yes, boxes start from S$3 each, and a starter pack of 20 boxes with tape and bubble wrap starts from S$70. You can collect them at our Ubi office. Our packers can pack for you, starting from S$250 for a 3-room HDB flat with materials included.

Do you dismantle and assemble beds and wardrobes?

Yes. Taking apart and putting back a bed or a small wardrobe starts from S$30 per item, and a large wardrobe from S$60. Please tell the team what you have so they can plan the time.

Do you offer storage?

Yes, our Ubi warehouse has a small unit of about 25 sq ft from S$120 a month and a medium unit of about 50 sq ft from S$220. The minimum is one month, and many customers use it while a new flat is being renovated. Shall I note a request?

I'm moving into a condo, what do I need to do?

Most condos want a lift reservation and a refundable deposit, and they set the move-in hours and loading bay. You settle these with the management office, and our team can tell you what to ask for.

Can you move a piano or a safe?

Yes, with special handling charged on top of the move. An upright piano starts from S$280 and a heavy safe from S$200. The team confirms after seeing photos of the item and the stairs or lift.

I'm worried about things breaking during the move

That's a very common worry. Our movers wrap furniture in blankets and shrink wrap, pad glass and mirrors, and protect floors and lifts. The crew leader goes through your item list with you before and after the move.

Are there items you can't move?

We don't move pets, perishable food, flammable items or gas cylinders. Please carry cash, jewellery and important documents yourself. If you're unsure about an item, a team member can check.

Can you remove my aircon or disconnect my washing machine?

No, we don't remove aircon or disconnect water, gas or electrical points, as those need a qualified contractor. Once they are disconnected, our movers can carry the units. Would you like a team member to explain?

Can my family be there instead of me during the move?

Yes, as long as an adult is at the old home to point out items and check the list, and someone at the new home to show where things go. A family member, friend or helper can do this. Please keep children and pets away from the movers.

How far ahead should I ask for a move?

We suggest at least two weeks ahead, and earlier for weekends, the end of the month and a 24-foot lorry. Short-notice moves are sometimes possible, but I can't promise one. Shall I ask a team member to check your date?

Why is it so expensive?

Prices cover the lorry, trained movers, wrapping materials and the care taken with your things. The team confirms the price before the move, so there are no surprises on the day.

Can you match another mover's quote?

I can only speak for EasyMove Movers, and I can't change our prices. A team member can look at what you need and explain what is included in our quote.

Can you promise the movers will arrive on time?

I can't promise an exact time. The team confirms the start time with you, and the crew leader calls you if they are running late.

What if I'm late or not ready on moving day?

Please call us if you're running late. If the crew arrives and has to wait more than 30 minutes, the waiting time may be added to your price, and the team can explain how.

The movers are late, where are they?

I'm sorry about the wait. I can't see where the crew is, but I can ask a team member to call you straight away. May I have your name and mobile number?

Can I cancel or change my move?

Yes. Please tell us at least 48 hours before and the team will move it to another date at no charge. With less notice, a cancellation fee of S$80 may apply, and the team explains it.

Do you move on weekends and public holidays?

Yes, our crews move on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, with a S$50 surcharge. The office itself is closed on Sundays and public holidays. Some condos don't allow Sunday and public-holiday moves, so please check with the management office.

Can you give me a discount?

I'm sorry, I don't have any discounts to offer. A weekday move avoids the S$50 weekend surcharge, and a team member can tell you about current offers.

Is that the final price?

The prices I give are starting prices and include GST. The final price depends on the addresses, floors, lifts, date and items, and any ERP or carpark charges are added at cost. The team confirms it in writing before the move.

Do you give a refund or a guarantee?

We can't promise nothing will ever be damaged, but we handle every item with care. If something is damaged or missing, tell us within 48 hours with photos, and the team will look into it. The manager decides on refunds, and the team explains any cover that applies.

I'm unhappy with the move

I'm so sorry to hear that. Please tell us within 48 hours, with photos if something is damaged, and the team will look into it properly. A manager can also call you back.

Do you speak Mandarin?

Yes, our office team speaks English and Mandarin. On this demonstration line I can only help in English.

Can I speak to a person?

Of course. I can ask a team member to call you back. May I take your name and mobile number?

Do you record my calls?

This call may be recorded, as I said at the start. Recordings are only used to follow up your request, and you can ask us to delete them.

How should I prepare for moving day?

Pack and seal your boxes the day before, and keep cash, jewellery and documents with you. Empty and defrost the fridge, and have any aircon and water points already disconnected. We wrap the furniture on the day.

How long does a move take?

A 3-room HDB flat usually takes 4 to 5 hours, a 4-room 5 to 6 hours, and a larger home a full day. Floors, lifts, distance and packing change this, so the team gives an estimate with your quote.

Can I get a receipt or an invoice?

Yes, you get a receipt when you pay. Our prices include GST, and the team can issue a GST invoice in your company's name if you need one.
