Cleaning services

Cleaners are inside customers' homes all day, so calls go unanswered just when people decide on a spring clean before Chinese New Year or a move. The assistant answers while your team is out, notes the home type, size, area and date for a quote, and passes damage reports and complaints to a person.

What it handles

  • Cleaning requests with the home type, size, area and preferred day, noted for a quote
  • Opening hours, service area, payment methods and the prices you have approved
  • Preparation questions: supplies, pets, access to the home and what to put away
  • Changes, cancellations and late arrivals noted for the team to follow up

When it hands over to a person

  • Anyone hurt or unwell at the home, or fumes from cleaning products (safety first)
  • A broken or missing item, a cleaner who has not arrived, or any complaint about a clean
  • A request for the manager or a refund, or a quote for a large or commercial job

What it never does

  • Promises an arrival time, a final price or a result you have not confirmed
  • Gives advice on cleaning products, mould, allergies or health
  • Asks for NRIC numbers, door codes or card details by voice

Questions it answers

From your own FAQ, nothing made up

What are your opening hours?

We're open Monday to Friday, 8 am to 7 pm, and Saturday, 8 am to 5 pm. We're closed on Sundays and public holidays.

How much is regular cleaning?

Regular cleaning starts from S$25 an hour per cleaner, with a minimum of 3 hours, so a visit starts from S$75. The team confirms the final cost for your home. Shall I note a day that suits you?

Can I book a cleaning?

Of course. I can note a cleaning request for the team. What kind of cleaning do you need?

Where are you located?

Our office is in Jurong East, a short walk from Jurong East MRT. Our cleaners come to you anywhere in Singapore, so there is no shop to visit.

What payment methods do you accept?

PayNow, bank transfer or a card payment link. There is no deposit, you pay after the job is done, and all our prices include GST. Our cleaners do not collect cash.

What does a cleaning include?

Regular cleaning, our standard visit, covers floors, kitchen surfaces, toilets, bathrooms and the rubbish. Spring cleaning adds degreasing the kitchen, descaling bathrooms and cleaning grilles, doors and ceiling fans. Windows, sofas, mattresses and inside the fridge or oven are extra.

How much is spring cleaning?

Spring cleaning, also called a deep clean or general cleaning, starts from S$260 for a 3-room HDB, S$320 for a 4-room HDB and S$420 for a condo. Bigger flats and landed homes are quoted by a team member, who confirms the final price after hearing about the home's size and condition.

How much is post-renovation cleaning?

Post-renovation cleaning starts from S$450 for a 3-room HDB, and bigger homes cost more. It removes dust, paint marks and sticky residue after your contractor has finished and cleared the debris. The team confirms the price from photos or a site visit.

Do you do move-in and move-out cleaning?

Yes, it starts from S$300 for a 3-room HDB, and suits a new BTO flat or a tenancy handover. The home should be empty so the cleaners can reach the cabinets. The team confirms the price, and some condos need cleaners registered with the management office first.

Do you clean windows?

Yes, window cleaning starts from S$100 for a 3-room HDB, including the glass, frames and tracks. For safety, our cleaners never lean out or climb onto ledges, so the outside is cleaned only where it can be reached from inside.

How much is sofa, mattress or carpet cleaning?

Sofa cleaning starts from S$30 a seat, mattress cleaning from S$60 a mattress, and carpet cleaning from S$50 a carpet. The team confirms the final price by size and condition.

Do you offer weekly or monthly plans?

Yes, regular cleaning can be weekly, fortnightly or monthly, at the same hourly rate. Tell the team which day suits you, and they will note it and try to send the same cleaner each time.

How long does a cleaning take?

For regular cleaning, one cleaner usually needs 3 hours for a 3-room HDB and about 4 for a 4-room. A spring clean takes 2 cleaners about 4 hours for a 3-room and 5 hours for a 4-room. The team confirms the time for your home.

How soon can you come?

I can't promise a day, as it depends on what is free. Regular cleaning usually needs a few days' notice, and spring cleaning about 2 weeks, or longer before Chinese New Year. Shall I note your preferred day?

What time will the cleaners arrive?

The team agrees a two-hour arrival window with you, such as 9 to 11 am. I can't promise an exact minute, and the cleaner calls you if there is a delay.

What do you need to give me a quote?

The quote is free. The team needs the type of clean, the home type, such as HDB or condo, its size, the area and your preferred date. For post-renovation or a large home, photos or a quick site visit help.

Do you bring your own cleaning supplies?

Yes, we bring all supplies and equipment, at no extra charge. If you prefer your own products, or someone at home has a baby or allergies, tell the team and the cleaners will use yours.

What should I prepare before the cleaners arrive?

Please put away cash, jewellery and fragile items, and clear the floors and surfaces you want cleaned. We bring all supplies and equipment, so you only need to tell us about pets and how the cleaners get in.

Do I need to be home during the cleaning?

For the first visit, an adult should be home to show the cleaner around. After that, the team works out another way in with you, such as a key or an access card. We never ask for door codes by phone.

Do you clean homes with pets?

Yes. Please tell us about your pets when you ask for a clean. Cleaners do not feed or handle pets, so please keep nervous pets in a room or a crate during the visit.

Can my children or an elderly parent stay home during the clean?

Yes, they are welcome to stay. Please keep young children out of the room being cleaned, as floors will be wet. If an elderly family member needs a quiet room, tell the team and the cleaners will work around them.

Can I ask for the same cleaner every time?

We will do our best. Tell the team when you ask for regular cleaning, and they will note your request. We can't promise the same cleaner every visit, as cleaners sometimes take leave, but we let you know of any change.

I'm nervous about letting a cleaner into my home

That's a common worry, and you're not alone. Our cleaners are our own trained staff with valid work passes, and they wear a uniform and carry an ID. The team texts you their name before the visit.

Do you clean on Sundays and public holidays?

No, we don't clean on Sundays or public holidays, such as National Day or Chinese New Year. Our cleaners visit Monday to Saturday, and Saturday visits fill up first, so please ask early.

Do you handle mould, asbestos or hazardous waste?

No, asbestos, hazardous waste and heavy mould need licensed specialists. Our cleaners do ordinary cleaning, including light mildew on tiles and grout. I can't give advice on mould or health, but a team member can tell you more.

Can I cancel or change my cleaning?

Yes. Please tell us at least 24 hours before and the team will move or cancel it at no charge. With less notice, a fee of S$40 may apply.

What if I'm late or no one is home when the cleaners arrive?

Please call us if you are running late. The cleaners wait up to 30 minutes, and after that the visit may be cancelled with a fee of S$40. A short delay is fine if you let us know.

Is that the final price?

Prices start from the amounts I give and include GST. Regular cleaning is charged by the hour, and larger jobs by home size and condition. A team member confirms the final price before the visit.

Can you give me a discount?

I'm sorry, I don't have any discounts to offer. A team member can tell you about regular plans and any current offers.

Why is it so expensive?

Prices cover trained cleaners, all supplies and equipment, and transport anywhere in Singapore, and they include GST. The team confirms the cost for your home before the visit, so there are no surprises.

Can you match another company's price?

I can only speak for SparkleHome Cleaning, and I can't change our prices. A team member can go through what our price includes, such as supplies, equipment and the number of cleaners.

Can I get a receipt or an invoice?

Yes, you get a receipt after payment, and the team can issue an invoice with GST for your company. For a move-out clean, the receipt is also useful to show your landlord or agent.

What if something gets broken or goes missing?

I'm sorry if something was broken, damaged or went missing. Please tell us within 24 hours, with photos if you can, and a team member will review the report and explain what can be done. It also helps to keep cash and jewellery locked away.

Do you give a refund or a guarantee?

We can't promise that every stain or mark will come out. If areas were missed, tell us within 24 hours, and the team will review it and clean them again at no charge. The manager decides on refunds.

I'm unhappy with the cleaning

I'm so sorry to hear that. Please tell us within 24 hours, with photos if you can, and a team member will review it and clean any missed areas again at no charge. Shall I take your name and number?

My cleaner has not arrived yet

I'm sorry about the wait. I can't see where the cleaner is, but a team member can check and call you back. May I take your name and mobile number?

Can I speak to the manager?

Of course. I can ask the manager to call you back. May I take your name and mobile number?

Do you record my calls?

Yes, this call may be recorded, as I said at the start. We keep recordings only to follow up your request, and you can ask the team to delete yours.

Do you speak Mandarin?

Yes, our office team speaks English and Mandarin, and you can ask for a Mandarin-speaking cleaner, which the team will do its best to match. On this demonstration line I can only help in English.
